$332 raised from Recycling for Nature Project
I am happy to announce that we have raised a total of $332.00 from our third Recycling for Nature Project! We always enjoy donating the money we raise to a good cause. Therefore, all recycling proceeds will be donated to The Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, California. We are so happy we are able to help raise funds for PMMC and support their current Fish Drive! Our donation was able to help PMMC buy over 300 pounds of fish! Earlier this week, we met with Mr. Glenn Gray, CEO of Pacific Marine Mammal Center, to pass him the check.
Our Recycling for Nature Project was launched on March 17, 2022 and lasted three months to June 17, 2022. My sister Chloe Mei and I encouraged friends and neighbors to help us collect used empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans to promote recycling and prevent waste entering landfills. In these past three months, we collected 108 Lb of aluminum cans and 110 Lb of PET #1 plastic bottles, and made six trips to the OC Recycling Center in Santa Ana, California. Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our project and helped us recycle and reduce our waste.
